This practical two-day course is designed specifically around the challenges faced by construction supervisors and covers important areas including health and safety, staff induction, leadership, motivation and performance management.
What Will You Learn?
The course consists of three key units:
Unit 421 – Understanding Health & Safety in the Workplace
Develop your understanding of the responsibilities and management issues surrounding health and safety within the workplace.
Unit 416 – Understanding the Induction of New Staff in the Workplace
Learn how effective induction can help new employees understand their role, responsibilities, workplace procedures and expectations.
Unit 408 – Understanding Leadership
Develop practical leadership skills to help you motivate people, manage teams and achieve project targets.
The course content is tailored specifically to construction supervisors, focusing on issues and situations they are likely to encounter in their day-to-day work on construction projects.
Live Online Tutor-Led Training
The course is delivered online in real time by experienced tutors over two full days.
Course hours:
9:30 am – 4:00 pm each day
There is a lunchtime break and a short break at 11:00 am.
You don’t need any special software or app on your computer or tablet. All you need is a good internet connection, and we will email you a link to join the online class.

There are no specific entry qualifications required for this course.
It is suitable for people currently working in construction supervision as well as those looking to develop their management and leadership responsibilities within the construction sector.

On successful completion, participants gain the:

A particularly useful feature of the programme is that all coursework required for the qualification is completed during the two-day course.
There is therefore no additional coursework or study commitment required afterwards to gain the qualification.
