Going Green for Business
Overview
This self-paced online course introduces the fundamental reasons for a business to adopt sustainable practices, including potential cost savings and eco-marketing opportunities. You will learn how to incorporate sustainability into a company’s vision, mission and values, develop green products and services, train employees and communicate corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts to stakeholders.
What You Will Learn
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Identify the environmental, social and economic reasons for a business to go green.
- Explain the role of eco-marketing in promoting sustainable business practices.
- Revise a company’s vision, mission and values to incorporate sustainability and CSR.

- Organise employee training to build a green team and promote CSR awareness.
- Create a stakeholder communication plan that highlights sustainability credentials.

Course Delivery
This is an online self-paced course that you complete at your own pace and in your own time.
The course is designed to be easy to follow and is suitable for people who are complete beginners to the topic.
This is not a tutor-delivered course.
Assessment and Certification
At the end of each module, you will complete a short quiz containing 3–4 multiple-choice questions.
If you select an incorrect answer, you can take the quiz again.
On completion of the course, you are eligible for the Level 5 (IRL) Unit Certificate in Going Green for Business, accredited and awarded by the Awarding Body for Sustainable Development (ABSD Awards).
Note: You do not need to complete additional coursework beyond the module quizzes to gain this certificate.

ABSD Awards – Awarding Body for Sustainable Development is an accreditation and awarding body based in London. It offers qualifications internationally in a range of subjects from Level 4 (IRL) to Level 9 (IRL), as well as progression opportunities to Master’s degrees with universities.
